Our Zoom training classes are designed for both newer and veteran officials who want to get a head start on the 2024 Fall season. All officials from any association are welcome. Times are Pacific Time Zone. All sessions will be held to 1 hour.

Wed Mar 27, 7-8pm 2024 Rules Changes and Free Kick (kickoff) mechanics, other kick situations.

Thu Apr 25, 7-8pm Steve Coover Instructional Videos. Coover is the CIF football rules interpreter for CA and the Instructional Chair for the San Diego County Association.

On Field Training

Sat June 15 9-11am  On field mini clinic at Bishop Manogue HS. This mini clinic will emphasize signaling, crew communication and whistle mechanics. Dress will be comfortable clothing (t-shirt, shorts, athletic shoes, officiating uniform NOT necessary). DO bring a whistle (on a lanyard) and a penalty flag, water and sunscreen. Note: this will be held at the upper practice field not the main field. 

Andrew Siderius Football Officials Clinic

August 2-4 at site yet to be determined

Friday: Optional Golf Tournament Washoe County Golf Course, Reno

8am-Saturday til 5pm @ 8am-Sunday til Noon: Classroom, Field instruction and COMMISSIONER'S TEST.  

Agenda, clinicians and other details of the clinic are still in the planning stages. The NNFOA Andrew Siderius Clinic is open to officials from anywhere. We anticipate once again bringing you the very best in football officiating instruction at a minimal cost (typically about $100-120 for the weekend which includes housing and meals). Friday is an optional golf tournament (cost not included).

2024 Preseason Scrimmages: All officials are expected to attend a scrimmage with his/her crew. If you cannot for some reason attend your crew's scrimmage, contact your Crew Chief.  Dates TBA

Uniform for all scrimmages is short sleeve shirt, black shorts (or uniform pants), short black socks, black officials cap, whistle, bean bag, penalty flag, down indicator.  Hydrate beforehand and bring water and sunscreen as appropriate. 

If scrimmages are filmed the videos will be loaded onto our account.
